GUIDELINES FOR WRITING ARTICLES IN SCIENCE PUBLICATION: JOURNAL OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND NUTRITION

Template for Writing Articles in Science Publication: Journal of Public Health and Nutrition

The title should be written in Indonesian and English, with a maximum of 18 words, without including the year.

The title should be clear, concise, and interesting (Centered, Times New Roman font 12, Bold, single-spaced).

ABSTRACT

This template is a guide for writing articles in Science Publication: Journal of Public Health and Nutrition. Authors must follow the instructions provided in this guide. This document can be used as a reference in writing your manuscript. Be sure not to change the style in this template, including the font type and size, spacing, indentation, and so on. The maximum number of pages for Science Publication: Journal of Public Health and Nutrition is 12 pages. If there are foreign terms that have not been standardized, they should be written in italics. The abstract should be a maximum of 250 words in Indonesian, using Times New Roman 11 point, single-spaced, justified. The abstract contains: introduction (1-2 sentences), research objectives (1 sentence), materials and methods (3-5 sentences), research results (3-5 sentences), and conclusions (1 sentence) written in one paragraph. INTRODUCTION

The introduction contains an explanation of the research background, the core issues, and the research objectives. The research issues are described using the inverted pyramid method, starting from the global, national, and local levels. Include references (relevant literature or research results) using the source name in each sentence before the period (.), as adjusted to the Bibliography, for example:... Vitamin A supplementation reduces morbidity and stunting in children in Sigi and Touna Regencies (1). Flipcharts and banners are useful for improving health behaviors in 1000 HPK in Central Sulawesi (2). There is a relationship between bladder capacity in women with physiological postpartum and the incidence of urinary retention (3).

The introduction section should be 1-1.5 pages long, written in Times New Roman 11 point (upright) with 1.5 spacing. Each paragraph should begin with a 5-digit indent. The end of the introduction should state the purpose of the research.

RESEARCH METHOD

This section describes the type of research, location and time of research, population and sample, sampling technique, data collection technique, data analysis, and data presentation. Research that uses tools and materials must include the specifications of the tools and materials used. Qualitative research such as case studies, phenomenology, ethnography, and others must include a description of the validity check of the research results. The writing should use Times New Roman 11 point (upright) with 1.5 spacing. Paragraphs should begin with a 5-digit indentation and should not use “subheadings” in this section. Presented in 1-2 paragraphs.

RESULTS

Contains a description of the analysis results related to the research questions. (Times New Roman 11, 1.5 spacing, Justify). Research results are presented in the form of narratives, tables and/or figures, as well as statistical test results with explanations without discussion. Table titles are written above the table, while figure titles are written below the figure. This section describes the characteristics of the research subjects, univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses (if any). Paragraphs begin with a 5-digit indent and do not use subheadings for each variable.

Tables and figures are numbered in the order in which they appear in the text using Arabic numerals. Table titles are written at the top of the table, while image titles are written at the bottom of the image using Times New Roman font 10, Bold, single spaced. Tables are presented without vertical lines/column lines. Table contents are typed in Times New Roman font 10, single spaced. If a table is not possible, a 1-column layout can be used.

DISCUSSION

The discussion contains a brief statement of the important parts of the research results, supporting arguments, a discussion of other relevant research results, and the contribution of the findings to the enrichment and development of science and technology for society. It is NOT PERMITTED to use the same sentences as those listed in the results section and it is NOT PERMITTED to reread the tables and graphs of the analysis results. However, the results can be grouped for interpretation and discussion based on theory and previous research results. The writing uses Times New Roman 11 point (upright) with 1.5 spacing. Paragraphs begin with a 5-digit indentation and may not use sub-headings for each variable.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The conclusion contains a summary of the results and discussion with reference to the research objectives. Recommendations are compiled based on the research findings that have been discussed. Recommendations may refer to practical actions, new theory development, and/or further research. The conclusion and recommendations should be written in Times New Roman 11 point (upright) with 1.5 spacing. Paragraphs begin with a 5-digit indent and may not use bullets or numbers. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

If necessary, acknowledgments may be given to 1) parties who provided financial assistance and support, 2) support from departments and institutions, 3) professionals who contributed to the preparation of the report.

REFERENCES

References are written according to the Vancouver writing rules. Only include references that are used and relevant. At least 80% of the references should be journal articles published within the last 10 years. Articles published in Science Publication: Journal of Public Health and Nutrition are recommended as references. To maintain consistency in referencing, citation, and writing the bibliography, we recommend using standard reference applications such as Endnote, Mendeley, Zotero, RefWorks, or Colwiz.
